Experience

Ready to take your photography to the next level? Whether you’re looking for a personal DSLR lesson or an immersive multi-day workshop, we’re here to make sure you enjoy every step of the journey. Our workshops aren’t just about learning the technical stuff (though you’ll learn that, too!) — they’re about finding your unique voice as a photographer and having a great time doing it.

I would 10 out of 10 times recommend to anyone to learn from David’s vast knowledge of photography and his great personality. I never felt rushed, and he was very supportive and genuine in his encouragement.

Our Approach

Freedom to learn in a way
that feels natural to you

As a professional photographer for over 20 years, David brings a relaxed vibe to your photography learning experience, and will give you the knowledge and techniques to help you create amazing images, no matter what level of photographer you are.

You have the freedom to learn in a way that feels natural to you. As guides, we’re here to offer support every step of the way—whether you need hands-on help or just some direction. We’ll take you to the right spots, offer practical expertise, and be there when you need advice.

We also encourage you to explore, trust your instincts, and let your creativity take the lead. We’re here to guide, not dictate, making sure you grow as a photographer in your own unique way.

We keep our groups small and friendly, so you get plenty of one-on-one attention while also connecting with other passionate photographers. You’ll leave with not only new skills but also fresh inspiration and confidence in your ability to capture the world through your lens.

More than just a photography class. It was about the experience of spending time outside and seeing the world through a different lens, pun intended. David's unbridled enthusiasm is completely contagious.

We offer a variety of photography classes, from individual DSLR lessons to multi-day workshops that cover both technical and artistic aspects of photography. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your skills, we have something for everyone.

2. Are your workshops suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! We welcome photographers of all levels. Our instructors tailor the content to meet your needs, ensuring that whether you’re a complete beginner or a more experienced photographer, you’ll walk away with new skills and confidence.

3. How large are the workshop groups?

We keep our groups small to ensure personalized attention. Typically, we limit group sizes to maintain an interactive and intimate learning environment, giving everyone the chance to ask questions and receive individual guidance.

4. Can I take private classes instead of joining a group workshop?

Yes! We offer private, one-on-one DSLR classes for those who prefer a more personalized learning experience. These sessions are tailored specifically to your interests and goals, so you can learn at your own pace.

5. Will I get help with both technical and creative aspects of photography?

Definitely. Our workshops cover a blend of technical skills—like understanding your camera settings and composition—and creative exploration, so you can develop your own unique photographic style. We encourage you to follow your vision while offering the guidance you need to master both the art and science of photography.

6. What should I bring to the classes or workshop?

Just bring your camera, any lenses you like to use, and a willingness to learn! If it’s a multi-day workshop, we’ll provide you with a detailed list of any additional equipment or supplies you might need.

7. Do you provide feedback on the photos we take during the workshop?

Yes, we believe that constructive feedback is a key part of the learning process. You’ll receive personalized feedback on your photos to help you grow both technically and creatively.

8. How do I sign up for a workshop or class?

You can sign up by contacting us through our DavidLynnWorkshops.com website or giving us a call. We’ll walk you through the available dates and help you find the right class or workshop for your needs. We can’t wait to get started!
