paul and paige ~ married! – denver wedding photography

We loved Paige and Paul from the moment we met them!  After their engagement session, we couldn’t wait for their wedding.  When the day finally came, it was more amazing than we could have even imagined.  They were married at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Denver, and their reception was held at Mile High Station.  With exposed brick walls, huge beams and a loft that looks down upon the main floor, It was the perfect urban background for their black tie wedding.

Paige looked absolutely AMAZING in her dress, and it was impossible to miss how the joy in her big green eyes matched her infectious smile…. you were (and ARE!) absolutely stunning :)  You two are such a caring, warm and beautiful couple… (not to mention totally in love!) we know that your life together will be filled with happiness.  Thank you so much for having us capture your day for you; we can’t wait to share all of the images!

the guzzy’s – denver family photography

While we were editing our photo session with the Guzdar family, we were all smiles.  Plain and simple, they just know how to have fun, and our day at the park with them was a blast, watching them be themselves and have a great time playing together. They could teach lessons on “how to live your life to the fullest” in so many ways, it’s an honor to call them friends, and it was even more of an honor to photograph them! Tony & Ange, when do you want to have another session??   Okay, we’ll wait, but enjoy these images for now….:) ~Dave & Lynn

oh yeah, we love our jobs….- denver wedding photography

Here’s one more from Tom & Kelly’s wedding.  They hired Ear2Ear PhotoBooths for their reception and it was a blast.  Ear2Ear has a great setup, including a couple different themed booths, and plans for a gondola booth in the works!  Lynn and I being closet goofballs, we couldn’t resist jumping in at the end of the evening for our photo booth cameo….photo courtesy Ear2Ear.

tom and kelly ~ married! – denver wedding photography

We’ve held a special place in our hearts for photographing with Tom & Kelly, particularly since they got married at Snow Mountain Ranch (the same place we got married) on September 12th (2 days before we got married!).  The weeks before their wedding we made multiple trips to the Fraser Valley for their engagement shoot, again for our anniversary, then a couple days later for Tom and Kelly’s wedding…so we were chock full of the spirit of marriage by the time September 12th rolled around!  And then, as we drove up to Snow Mountain that morning, the skies were looking grim…very dark, and very grim.  Still, we arrived with our eternal optimism in the front of our minds, as this wasn’t the first wedding day we had arrived to with bad weather.  And, like others before (even our own), the good wedding day juju prevailed.  Shortly before the ceremony, the scattered sprinkles came to a halt, the skies cleared, and everyone was graced with an absolutely gorgeous Colorado afternoon.

From the start, we liked Tom and Kelly for a few reasons: Tom’s great appreciation for photography, Kelly’s laughter and dry witty sense of humor….and later, at the engagement shoot and wedding, we found new reasons (among others):  we love how Kelly likes to do “the robot” periodically, we loved the fact that they both wore sandals for the wedding, and we loved their choice of bluegrass music for the ceremony!!

Tom and Kelly, we want to thank both of you for having us there with you to capture your wedding day in images.  We hope you enjoy looking at each and every one over and over, and we wish you all the best in your life together!  For now, here’s your wedding slideshow and a few favorites for you to take in….~Dave & Lynn

happy anniversary

Back in 2002 I met this amazing woman.  She was full of energy, a bright spirit, and she was a total hottie :) .  We met at a photography gallery where we both had images featured in a photography exhibit, and we met at the reception for all the artists.  Looking back, I remember how completely chance it was that I even brought in an image to consider being shown at that gallery. I had my sights set on a couple asian restaurants to display some of my images from Thailand.  On a whim, I passed that gallery, and thought “what the hell, I’ll see if they’re accepting images”.

Long story short:  my image was accepted, I attended the reception, and it was there I met Lynn….I met my wife, the love of my life, the mother of our amazing son, my creative partner, and the most compassionate person I know who always has a smile for anyone who will soak one in.  That meeting still seems like it happened yesterday, and the flash of time that is 7 years from then to now is filled with so much great stuff I can barely wrap my mind around it.  The best of it has been the past 3 years that we’ve been married, and last Thursday we celebrated our anniversary by heading up to the Fraser Valley where we got married, going for a great hike above the trees, and kicking it in a cozy cabin for the night.  Add to that some hot tubbbing and an amazing steak dinner cooked on the grill outside with a great bottle of italian Brunello, and that’s celebrating.

Lynn, words can’t describe how truly awesome it is that we get to do all of this together for so many years to come…here’s looking forward to photographing with you the wedding days of so many other great couples who are starting their lives together, and photographing the many great moments of ours!  I love you Lynn, Happy Anniversary!  ~Dave

Here’s some images from our trip, and an ever so small collection of some of my favorites images of Lynn.
