Sometimes, the most amazing, magical experiences fall into your lap…..
As you know through Illumine Photography, I am able to express my love for expectant mothers and children, and this has become such an important part of our lives. Additionally, we are constantly finding our path to a greener, healthier world through our lives & our business. So you can imagine how thrilled we were to discover “Mindful Mama,” a magazine that will soon be launching in print and on the web. Their mission is so inline with our own, that it truly felt like we were meant to cross paths with the magazine’s creator & Editor-In-Chief, Sarah Kraft. (Have a look at Mindful Mama here!)
Sarah is so passionate about a mother’s right to be educated about birth choices, that you can’t help but be moved when listening to her. Sarah is one of those people who not only has a vision, but acts on it and makes it a reality. Being in her presence is so inspiring and uplifting! This weekend, we were gifted with the opportunity of joining Sarah in Telluride for an interview with Ani DiFranco!!
We’ve always wanted to experience the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and what a way to do it! Dave videotaped and I photographed the interview. Ani is such an inspirational mindful mama herself, and being at the interview was just amazing. She is so down to earth and REAL. We had a great time listening to Sarah interview Ani about motherhood, touring as a musician and mother, and life in general. Afterwards, we were treated to her performance and the rest of the bands that day at the music festival. Music, mountains, moms….what an awesome time!
Check out these photos from the Ani interview and performance. We’ll have many more images from the Telluride Bluegrass Festival posted soon, so check back!
