Mark & Catalina had a beautiful, simply elegant wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. Devil’s Thumb is definitely one of those destinations that needs no dress-up whatsoever. Erin at Plum Sage Flowers did a fantastic job keeping the decor simply beautiful by using fresh herbs for the table settings and detail highlights. All the herbs were also sent home with Mark & Catalina so they could start their own herb garden! So cool! Mark & Catalina have such an easy way about them, and they had a terrific energy throughout the day that made our job of photographing a real pleasure. Fact of Life #142: Kids love to fly.

We’ve photographed quite a few airborne kids in all our portrait shooting. Tossing your kid in the air works well for portrait sessions. It puts kids in a great mood and it elicits some of the best laughter you can get from your kids. When you think about it, how fun would it be if someone were able to pick us adults up and throw us into the air?! Here’s a collection of a few of our favorite flying images.

Conner 50th Wedding Anniversary

Recently we photographed the 50th wedding anniversary party for Carolyn and Lon. They celebrated with close friends and family at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver. The MCA has a fantastic upper terrace with great views of Lower Downtown, that makes for a perfect event venue. We hope to photograph more events there in the future!
